I've modified AD Gallery for our corporate CDN replacing all image name references with Data URI values. I was finding that I had to overwrite the CSS and JS values every time that I wanted to use Ad Gallery since the images don't exist in the same
folder as the loaded url.
With this modification there are no changes required to get the default "skin" for the plugin. And if someone doesn't want the default skin they can just overwrite the css like that would have had to in order to get the original skin working.
The one downside to this project, given all images are tiny, is that data uri isn't supported in prior to IE8. This isn't an issue for our corporate sites, and if it was we'd just overwrite the css and set the loading icon in js like we have to do
without data uri values.
What are your thoughts on making this the default for AD Gallery so that just loading the css and js the plugin "just works" with no further modification. Still supply this icons as images, and possible supply a secondary css that overwrites
the images with named images, just in case people need them.
In any case, thanks for writing and maintaining this project.
